Morgan, host to the king of demons and exorcist is being sued when the person she saved comes back brain dead. Couple that with a stalker leaving her limbs in the mail and her boyfriend being sent fake photos of her kissing good friend Adam. Oh, yeah, and a whip with her blood on it. Things aren’t going to well for Morgan in Speak of the Devil.
This is a wild ride. Morgan, who I love, is trying to be tough but there’s a lot of heavy stuff being thrown at her. She has to deal with demons and humans out to get her. I actually like how things played out with Brian. For some reason, I never liked him. It’s not the authors fault either, just this gut instinct. I love the addition of Saul, former lover to both Adam and Dom. That makes for an interesting love triangle, plus I just really, really love Adam. Anyway, the mystery of this book is really well done. Just when I thought I had it figured out, things change and twist. It makes for an excellent book.
Speak of the Devil is a demonic, romantic suspense that you have to read!
Morgan Kingsley is back in the next installment of the series, The Devil's Due. She has the king of demons seducing her in her dreams, his enemy's vying for her death and a client that says her adopted son was taken over by a demon against his will. It's just another day as an exorcist.
Morgan is such a great character. She tried to do the badass thing but being that she isn't, it makes her much more lovable and realistic. The regular cast is here and creating a stir. Adam has to be my favorite and I'm hoping he eventually gets with Morgan. Her boyfriend Brian never sits well with me. His character makes me suspicious but that's a good thing. None of the cast are flat. The action is always intense and I love the twists! I'm so glad I already bought the next two books in the series because I couldn't stand it if I had to wait to read the next story. I have to find out what happens!
The Devil's Due is a demonic, romantic, action packed, must read!
Morgan has gone from demon exorcist to unwilling host for the king of the demons. In this book she finds clues as to why she's able to resist demons. She also has to keep all those she loves safe from a psychotic demon assassin.
I love this series! Can I just leave my review at that? No? Okay, fine. The second book in the Morgan Kingsley Series and I love this world just as much as the first book. Morgan is not the toughest around but she's no damsel in distress. It makes for great action and a bit of realism. Brain is her lover, I'm not a fan of him. Dominic and Adam are the mostly human friends helping her out. Oh, and they're totally gorgeous! There are some great and unexpected twists that really kept me on the edge of my seat. The romance is very steamy.
Slight spoiler ahead and the reason for my four stars: Although the ending is intense and fantastic, the bit with Andy, her brother, bothered me. Morgan swore she wouldn't let a demon bother him again. Andy swore he'd never take another demon and yet at the end when things (I'm not saying who) go down Morgan doesn't really react. She doesn't do anything but worry about Andy. She doesn't go to Adam for help or even Lugh. Even just one scene on her doing something would wrap this up. I understand why this had to happen, especially since I finished the next book in the series. But Morgan didn't do anything to help Andy despite all the talk from both of them a few pages before!
The Devil You Know is another highly recommended read in the Morgan Kingsley series. If you love paranormal romance, this is a must read!
Now, I have to try and explain to you how fabulous this book is, with words. Freaking sentences. Gah! (Yes, I know that's technically not a word.) Morgan is a demon exorcists who discovers accidentally that she's got one of them inside her. How did that happen? Why can't it control her? Who can she trust?
I love paranormal romance so as soon as I read the blurb for this book, I knew I had to read this series. And let me tell you. This book is amazeballs! (Yes, technically not a word. Again.) Morgan is trying to handle being unwilling host to a demon, her boyfriend being kidnapped and some issues with her best friend. Oh, and the demon/host that is supposed to be helping her is a bi-sexual into BDSM. How crazy good of a plot is that? This books lives up the hype, I promise you that. There is so much plot sprinkled with romance that I had a hard time putting this book down. There are so many twists and turns. There are some m/m scenes in here but if that's not your thing you can skip it and still enjoy the story. I loved this book so much that halfway through I went and ordered the rest of the series!
The Devil Inside is an absolutely brilliant paranormal world with a serious romantic kick. A must read!
