Nicholai Telfair a vampire. He fights hunters to avenge his mother and sister and is also a paid assassin. Then he stumbles upon Annie. She is beaten badly. She stirs something in him he’s never felt. Annie is thrust into a strange world where a war wages between bad and good. Vampires and Demon. Can she survive what’s coming for her?
From the start the story it's a whirlwind of mystery and intrigue. Nicholai is truly not what you expect being a vampire is and I was taken aback at the nice surprise with him. I liked that the story was somewhat different from the stereotypical “paranormal” read. Nothing was what you think it would be and good is bad and evil is good. The story is full of action and drama will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. A definite must read!

Ariana has a terrible sense of direction and it leads her right into the arms of the lord of the clans, Cameron but Ariana is more than simple healer.
This book took place in a wonderfully rich, descriptive fantasy world. The author created an old world feel with her descriptions. Ariana was a sweet, directional challenged woman who has excellent growth as a character. Cameron was the badass that also had fantastic development, from a hard guy to ‘soft for her’ moments. I was so invested in these characters and this world that it was a 5 star rating in my mind. This would be a book I would blabber on about and reread. That is until I came to page 194 and they...switched bodies. Yup, she grew a penis and Cameron grew breasts. No, I’m not joking. No, I don’t know why the author did this. The book was fantastic up until this point. Once they changed bodies, it just became too silly. Why do that, when this story had great characters and an excellent plot already? I was loving this book and now I feel angry because I wasted so much of my time. They switch bodies, their personalities start to blur and dull. Ariana becomes...well, she loses intelligence. The things she does just...ugh. There was so much potential here.
The author has a lot of talent but this book is one I wouldn’t recommend.
When Heidi Corrigan went on a short vacation with her best friend Maggie to New Freedom, she certainly didn’t expect her lack of outdoor skills and her hatred of bees to land her in a predicament. Captured by the Fae and assumed to be a witch thanks to a drunken love spell casting, she is soon rescued by Liam McIntyre who is not just a sexy Irish man, but a dragon. They will undertake an adventure that spans dealing with her dysfunctional family, his enemies and politics, and their newfound love for one another.
The first thing I have to say is that while I love erotica and romance, this book read so well that it could easily have been a mainstream fantasy story! The world building was first class, the characters were either loveable or loath inducing. I loved the romance scenes and the heat was sizzling (dragon pun intended). Heidi and Liam are a great couple of reluctant lovers that find the ultimate mating experience in the end of this story. While it is a cliffhanger, it is a happily for now ending which I find awesome and doesn’t leave me with anxiety while waiting for the next book.
I give this book five stars for it’s very ambitious and successful attempt at mixing romance/erotica with fantasy and contemporary settings. I eagerly await the next book!
