Rachel is trying to deal with these feelings for Trent who happens to be an important Elf and engaged. Meanwhile magic is suddenly going crazy putting the entire city in danger.
So. Freaking. Good! This book has a fantastic plot with tons of action and some romance. I really like how Trent’s characters evolves. I didn’t like him in the beginning of the series but now, two away from the end I really like him. That’s some top notch character development. Ivy, the vampire, Jenks, the pixie and David, the were, also make this book wonderfully varied. There a romance scene in here too and it’s pretty steamy. The ending is explosive! There’s only one book left in The Hollows series. I’m both excited and sad about that. I think a bad case of book withdrawal is going to hit me soon.
The Undead Pool is another epic read in the paranormal world of Rachel Morgan!
The epic battle is here, Rachel vs the crazy demon Ku’Sox. She’s going to need more power and help than she ever imagined. As the ever after shrinks, and the demons give her a deadline, Rachel must rescue those she loves. Not all will survive…
What a story! Oh my God, that is insane. I was up until four in the morning reading because I had to find out what happened. Rachel being blamed for the ‘leak’ in the ever after. Demons want her dead, Trent needs her help when his kid and Ceri is kidnapped. Nick returns, the toad, and Jax. There is so much going on this book and it’s so perfectly balanced. I love the ending, it gives a bit more romance to the series and I cannot wait to read the next book. I am lucky enough to have a bonus story in the back of this book and after that there are only two more books. Two!
Ever After is a magical read in a fantastic series! A must read for paranormal lovers!
Trouble on Reserve is a free short story in the Hollows Series. It is in the back of the Ever After book. (But apparently it is written before Ever After?) It’s a short read, something like twenty pages. It’s not really a story just sort of a snippet of a scene. Rachel and Trent are attacked. They have to survive which happens very quickly. It does give readers a twist that I’m thinking will be a big deal in the next book.
Overall, I liked the story and I look forward to more from The Hollows!
Rachel is now a demon and is pulled into an investigation that's being kept hidden from the public. Witches are not only being murdered but they're dying by transfiguration. Someone wants to make demons and soon they'll discover the only way to do that is with Rachel's blood.
Rachel and her unusual gang are at it again! There's plenty of action as the murder suspects build up. I really like the mystery aspect of it all. They trying to keep anyone else from being killed and to keep Rachel safe. There's a budding romance between Rachel and Trent that keeps things romantic but Wayde, Rachel's part time shifter bodyguards is also getting overly friendly. I'm curious to see which way that will go. My only issue for this book is Rachel's decision about her 'bracelet'. When things get dangerous, her decision didn't make sense. It didn't fit her characters after all these books. Still, keep reading, this is an excellent book in the series!
I can't believe there are less than a handful left in The Hollows Series! A Perfect Blood is a perfect treat!
Rachel, Jenks, and Ivy are going on a road trip. Actually Trent comes along with a few assassins, Al the demon and a bad ass winged beast. Yeah, it’s gonna be a fun ride.
Rachel has an upcoming trial with the witch coven that she’s nervous about, Pierce (who I’m still not a fan of) is showing his true colors and it wouldn’t be a Hollows book without some crazy new spells. Then the trial comes and wow, I wasn’t expecting that! It is a fantastic twist. This book has tons of action and an unexpected kiss that has me sitting up and taking notice.
Pale Demon is an epic continuation in the bad luck paranormal world of Rachel Morgan. A must read!
We’re back in the world of Rachel Morgan (The witch with extremely bad luck) in book 8 of The Hollows Series. Rachel is dealing with being a demon’s student, her lying ex and oh yeah, the coven is after her for her ovaries. There are explosions, summoning’s and a great character isn’t going to make it into the next book.
This is what I’m talking about! Love it! The last two books have been a bit slow moving but this book upped the action and the plot by a thousand. There is very little urge to stop and join the real world when reading this. I just want to sink into the pages and stay there. Morgan has a lot going on. Al, the demon, who is acting really flirty with her. (I’m hoping something develops there). Then there’s Pierce the ex-ghost who’s lusting after her, but I don’t trust him. At. All. The romance is brief and well written but I just don’t like Pierce so…There’s also Ivy the sometimes out of control vampire and Jenks with his HUGE family of pixies. All my favorites and then some. I do wish David played a bigger part. He’s the shifter and I really like him. Trent’s in here too. I can’t forgive him for the past but he’s growing on me.
Anyway, this book is amazing. It’s just as epic as the first few that really grabbed me and pulled me in. That ending is so damn sad. I can’t believe the author killed off another fantastic, sweet, loving characters. There are twists upon twists and I can’t get enough. I can’t wait to read the next book!
This is another book in the series that I flew through. Demons, weddings and murder are the plot in this book of The Hollows by Kim Harrison.
Rachel, Jenks, Ivy and Kisten are now stuck between warring shifters, smart demons and a vampire they thought would spend eternity in prison. The action in this book is intense and so is the romance. Rachel has this wonderful ability to talk tough, look tough and actually be so afraid her knees nearly buckle. It makes her so likable and realistic. The author did, however, KILL OFF MY FAVORITE CHARACTER! Oh my God! Harrison just killed him off! I didn’t see that coming and it freaking hurt. I thought I had the future of this series figured out but that just went out the window and landed in a bloody mess. Why? Why! It sucks that she got rid of him. It is still an awesome book.
For a few demons more is a must read with twists you’ll NEVER see coming!
In this book, I’ve officially fallen in love with Jenks. I don’t care if he’s a pixy. He’s so sweet and adorable and I want to hug him so bad. The way he protects and defends Rachel whether he’s four inches tall or over six feet makes me love him that much more. Yeah, that’s right, stuff goes down that makes him human size! I’m not telling what or if it’s permanent. Rachel is stuck in the middle of a were shifter issue because she’s now part of David’s pack. Which leads to her finding Nick. If you’ve read my previous reviews in The Hollows series, you know how I feel about Nick. This book just makes me like Nick even less. I’m all for Rachel and Kisten. Ivy faces her biggest test with Rachel’s blood and…fails. Yup, but I’m not giving spoilers so you’ll have to read the book to find out what I’m talking about. I love this book but… and this but is why it’s only four stars, those freaking info dumps. They are really bad in this book. I guess the author wants this to be stand alone? I don’t know. But each info dump threw me out of the story. Thankfully, the absolutely brilliant characters and action packed plot is why this book is a must read! And I want to add, with that wild ending, that I was absolutely right about a certain character. I’ve got a good gut about people, lol. Great ending!
A fistful of Charms is a fistful of fabulousness! Another must read book in the paranormal series, The Hollows, by Kim Harrison.
Vampiric Charms is once again the center of trouble. Rachel’s got demon on her butt, Ivy’s got eating issues (get it, she’s a vampire, ;) ) and Jenks may be leaving the company!
It really didn’t upset me with Rachel and Nick ‘breaking up’. I’m not a fan of Nick. He has secrets that make me wary. Besides, Trent is hot and he’s a…well if you read the last book you know what he is. Plus there’s Kisten. Oh sexy, vampire Kisten. Yeah, I like him a little too much. The romance between him and Rachel is very good. *giggles* Okay, really freaking good. Anyway, the story is just as good as the romance in this book. I enjoyed the new characters and the twists along the way. I’m happy to say there are no information dumps that I caught. That makes me happy. The more I read the more I want to keep reading. There just aren’t enough hours in the day! Rachel, Ivy, Kisten and a new player named David are all battling against a new pain in the butt that’s trying to take over Piscary’s territory. Not only that but the idiot then tries to kill Rachel. Not once, but twice. The action is fantastic and that ending is freaking epic! I love this book.
Every which way but dead is a must read book in a must read series!
I read this book in two days, yes, two days. I read every chance I got which is how I ended up with burnt biscuits for dinner. I have no regrets. This book is awesome! Rachel is after The Witch Hunter and things are about to get dangerous…
There are nice nibbles of information about the mystery for Rachel and what Trent is. They’re weaved so perfectly that it kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked Trent. I know, I know, he’s a bad guy, maybe. I still like him. Poor Ivy goes through hell in this book. There is great action and romance. My only issue is there are several information dumps in the books. Mostly in the beginning. They pop up all of a sudden and it takes you out of the story completely. But, Rachel and her odd group of friends really pulls at your heart, and I’m finding myself really attached to them. I can’t wait to read the next book!
Must. Read. Now!
The hollows series gets better and better with each book!
