If you love romance, then you have to read this book!
Jane is lonely but meets a sexy man on an escort service site. Ryan, the escort, is on his last ‘meeting’ because he’s opening up his own restaurant. But when Ryan meets Jane, things take a turn no one expected.
This is straight up, well written romance that makes you sigh and smile as you read it. I love Jane, her past of divorce and her busy job. How’s a woman supposed to find love in such a crazy world? Ryan is in the escort service, you’d think that’d interest you enough to pick up this book, but he’s also trying to save up money for his restaurant. He’s more than just sex and it makes me love his character even more. This book is so charming. I love the setting, the characters and the romantic plot.
Fire and Midnight is a must read if you love happily ever after’s.
This is a twist on the Cinderella fairy tale. An accident causes former ballerina Amy to live at home with her absent father and ‘evil’ step mother. Now a journalist, she’s soon sent to interview a famous doll maker and there she meets his bad boy son, Peder. But can a man with a violent past ever love the frightened and rigid Amy?
Rules are not meant to be broken, or are they? Amy always follows the rules until the sexy Peder comes along. I really liked how the plot unfolded. We don’t learn about Peder’s past until the last half of the book and the wait really built up the anticipation. Although I understood the rules they did become tiresome after a while combined with Amy’s personality. She is such a pushover and so meek, I have a hard time not yelling at my screen. However, that’s not exactly a bad thing. I became so invested in the story that I did yell at my screen a few times. I really enjoyed the secondary characters too, Peder’s father for example. They each have their own quirks and personality. This story has so many layers and I had such a great time pulling them apart.

After an unexpected malfunction, the crew must search a deserted city to find the parts they need to repair the ship but things are rarely that easy…
I did not read the previous books in this series so sometimes I was a little lost. I did, however, quickly get over that fact once I got into the book. There are some great characters (although a lot of them to keep track of) and a great plot. I enjoy sci fi romance and this is one book I knew I couldn’t pass up. There are some funny moments and the action is great! The sex is very hot, it always is when there’s more than two people. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I’ll be looking forward to the next book.
The Captain’s Calamity is a highly recommended read!
First of all, that dedication was beautiful, so beautiful. Thank you for that Ms Bailey!
Guyliner is about an eyeliner wearing Graham who happens to be a hot soccer star. Connor is they guy working his butt of to try to get out of his small hometown and into college. Will Connor come out his shell or deny his feelings for Graham?
This is a super sweet story. It’s young adult romance and that explains it perfectly. There’s angst and drama and so much love poured from this book. Graham and Connor have fantastic chemistry together and I love reading how they go through this tough time in their lives. Sometimes neither of them sounded like their age but much older so that is a small, minor issue and, honestly, I love the book too much to bring down the rating for that. I actually really love the ending. It isn’t a HEA but their seventeen, that would be completely off. Instead it’s a very sweet and satisfying HFN.
Guyliner is a sweet ya romance that I highly recommend!
Title: Making Waves
Series: Wrench Wars - Can be read as stand alone
Author: Marie Sexton
Genre: Gay, Contemporary, Romance
TBR Reviewer: Bella Star
Rating: 3 stars - A Good Read!
Heat: 2/5 - Flirty!
Ward and Dean have been friends since they were kids but soon Dean’s brothers Ash shows up and things get complicated. Ash likes Ward. Dean thinks they’re both straight. There’s a reality show filming and Dean gives Ward the ultimate decision to make.
I loved the banter between ward and Dean. Instantly it felt like they had a long history, one with laughs and bumps along the way. Once Ash gets there though things start to change. Ash is so hard to figure out. His scenes fly by and I really didn’t feel a connection with him. I like where Ward and Ash are going but it happens so fast. The Wrench Wars TV series which is a major point in the series but it is just sort of glossed over. I really wish the author added more about that. Dean eventually shows his true colors but I am still hung up on Ward and Ash. They fell so forced and pushed together. Some of the mechanics from the previous series make an appearance and that is a great surprise.
Overall, Making Waves is an interesting addition to the series.
Morgan, host to the king of demons and exorcist is being sued when the person she saved comes back brain dead. Couple that with a stalker leaving her limbs in the mail and her boyfriend being sent fake photos of her kissing good friend Adam. Oh, yeah, and a whip with her blood on it. Things aren’t going to well for Morgan in Speak of the Devil.
This is a wild ride. Morgan, who I love, is trying to be tough but there’s a lot of heavy stuff being thrown at her. She has to deal with demons and humans out to get her. I actually like how things played out with Brian. For some reason, I never liked him. It’s not the authors fault either, just this gut instinct. I love the addition of Saul, former lover to both Adam and Dom. That makes for an interesting love triangle, plus I just really, really love Adam. Anyway, the mystery of this book is really well done. Just when I thought I had it figured out, things change and twist. It makes for an excellent book.
Speak of the Devil is a demonic, romantic suspense that you have to read!
Jasmine owns a spa but business had been low and she’s running out of options. When she finds out she has healing powers and that there are paranormal beings out there looking for a rub down, things seem to be improving. Then the sexy alpha werewolf, Christian, comes in and changes things forever…
This is a must read. Let me start off right there. The world building this author manager to do in just 78 pages plus romance plus a plot! Are you kidding me? I could not put this book down. From Jasmine learning her way in this new paranormal world to all her clientele and the sexy alpha. And sexy doesn’t begin to cover him. Leather wearing, motorcycle driving, dethroned alpha kind of sexy. The sex scenes are good but I wish it’d been longer and more detailed to really heat up the pages. But the romance, oh, the romance is between Jasmine and Christian was truly beautiful. I have to find more books by this author!
Read. This. Book. Never Rub a Werewolf the wrong way is a highly recommended, light read.
Oh, a mafia romance! I haven’t read one of these in a while. Gregorio has no problem living in his dark world of killing. His one ray of light is Alessandra and when she’s kidnapped, he will do anything to get her back unharmed.
Hello dark and dirty! This book really hits those marks. I like how dark Gregorio is but also that with Alessandra he seems to grow and open up. It makes for great character development. Alessandra is a little more naive and clueless about the world around her. Once she does find out, I find it comes of realistic and I fell for her too. As the plot unfolds these two come together in smoking hot sex. Yeah, very hot. Yeah, very sexy. This is the first book in the Family First series and I’m looking forward to the next!
His Mafia Princess, is dark and dirty in all the right places!
Morgan Kingsley is back in the next installment of the series, The Devil's Due. She has the king of demons seducing her in her dreams, his enemy's vying for her death and a client that says her adopted son was taken over by a demon against his will. It's just another day as an exorcist.
Morgan is such a great character. She tried to do the badass thing but being that she isn't, it makes her much more lovable and realistic. The regular cast is here and creating a stir. Adam has to be my favorite and I'm hoping he eventually gets with Morgan. Her boyfriend Brian never sits well with me. His character makes me suspicious but that's a good thing. None of the cast are flat. The action is always intense and I love the twists! I'm so glad I already bought the next two books in the series because I couldn't stand it if I had to wait to read the next story. I have to find out what happens!
The Devil's Due is a demonic, romantic, action packed, must read!
Young adult mystery, I don’t think I’ve read one in this genre before. I am pleasantly surprised by this book. Casey writes the conspiracy theory column for her high school. But soon threats and warnings start plaguing Casey. Will she let a story risk her life or give up before she’s found all the answers?
Casey. Is. Fabulous. Seriously, I love her. She feels so real and I swear I saw a little of myself in her, lol. She has a lot of spunk and drive. I really like reading from her point of view too. Victor is the hot senior trying to protect and crush on her. I really like this addition of romance. It rounds out the book plot perfectly. It isn’t all high school drama either. There may be drugs in the cafeteria food and a teacher may be having a relationship with a student. That alone kept me reading but Casey really makes it hard to put the book down. There are several twists and revelations at the end, let me tell you, I didn’t get them all right!
Lost Reputation is a must read. Forget the fact that it’s young adult (even though that part is fabulous), if you enjoy a good mystery this should be on your list to read!
