Evanthe is a gifted necromancer but when her crush and master is in trouble, it’ll take more the talent to survive.
Necromancers, magic and it’s free, really what more do you want? Oh, a good plot and great characters? Well, this is the book for you! Seriously, I would have paid to read this book so that price tag is a huge bonus. Paranormal is one of my favorite genres and this book is getting check marks in all the right places. I love Evanthe and her no bull attitude. She likes Morrow, her master, and once she sees he’s into her, she doesn’t give up. I like Morrow too. He has a sweet but sexy mystery side to him. The action is intense and really packed in there. My only issue is with the editing. Some dialogue is in the same paragraph as dialogue from another character. It took some sorting to figure out who is saying what. I really like this world and I hope the author writes more stories about Evanthe and Morrow.
Nercomancer’s Apprentice is a highly recommended read for paranormal lovers!
Kimberly is a workaholic who’s seriously stressed out. On a company trip to Vegas instead of gambling she hires a sexy escort to help her relax. It leads to a happy ending but could there be more between them?
I was worried about reading this because most short, hire an escort stories fall flat. However, the author did a fantastic job building the characters and actually bringing them closer together before the sex. I appreciate that and it really makes the book that much better. And the sex, please bring ice water with you wherever you’re ready this! Yes, it is that hot! The terms are a bit…off though. Canal? Glans? Labia? I know they’re technically called that but it just doesn’t sound sexy. Sometimes the dialogue is followed by the other character’s thoughts so it is hard to tell who is saying what. This is a short read but the ending is satisfying. I’ll have to check out more books by this author.
A Gentleman for hire is a short, sexy snack.
Bear is a big man with bad knees and a one-night stand kind of sex life. He breaks all his rules for Finn but Finn has an issue of his own in the form of an unwanted Prescott who will do the unthinkable to get him.
I like this book even with some snags. There is a flashback without italics which drives me nuts. I didn’t know it’s a flashback and I had to read it twice to figure it out because the scenes changed all of a sudden. And the backstory is in an odd place. That threw me out of the story. However, those are minor issues and the story is good! I love how the big bad bear turns into a submissive. That really gave the story a good edge. I like Finn, and Bear is an interesting character but their romance is so quick. The story is short and there isn’t really much ‘meat’ to it. The ending is sweet and satisfying.
Bad Teddy Bear is a short, sexy story.
Title: Celery, Sex and other Good Things for the Heart (The Harders Book 2)

Co-workers Miranda and Dan have a thing for each other but have never admitted it, opting for a daily exchange of raunchy sexual exploits as told to them by Dan's best friend Sam and Miranda's sister Missy. When they discover that it's Sam and Missy having all the fun, there's no stopping their workplace-gone-wild affair, especially with Miranda throwing down the kinky gauntlet and daring Dan to pick it up.
Where this book is thin on plot, it's overweight on bedroom action. Celery may be good for your heart but in this story its not for the faint of heart. Those with a curious streak and a high tolerance level for explicit sex will have found a new diet plan in author Kamryn's ribald regimen for good health. A good read, not to exceed the recommended daily dosage!
Geeky gamer Oliver meets sexy successful Jaime and both their lives will never be the same.
I love this book! Love it! From the older Jaime to the number happy Oliver and the twists, there are also cute dogs. I like how the drama isn’t forced and it’s a light read. I’ve read a couple of heavy reads lately and this lightness is just what I need. All their reactions are faced like adults and it makes the characters feel real. There’s also some pretty good sex. Oliver isn’t exactly a novice but it’s damn close. I enjoyed reading their steamy moments.

Kit and Luke are cyborgs, created for the purpose of war. Now that the war is over, they must find a way to make a life for themselves. Cargo Pilot Zura Watson has traveled to the edge of civilized space to start over. The Drift is a place for the lost, hunted, and those seeking second chances. It is the last place Zura expected to lose her heart. When the past comes back to hurt them the three of them must do whatever they have to, to stay together.
This is an interesting story. The plot is definitely something fresh. Kit and Luke are something else. To me they are like night and day to one another yet they balance each other out. Zura is a force to be reckoned with. She is tough and can handle herself. The three of them hit it off amazingly and have a steamy story together.
I’m looking forward to reading more from The Drifter series.

Rachel is trying to deal with these feelings for Trent who happens to be an important Elf and engaged. Meanwhile magic is suddenly going crazy putting the entire city in danger.
So. Freaking. Good! This book has a fantastic plot with tons of action and some romance. I really like how Trent’s characters evolves. I didn’t like him in the beginning of the series but now, two away from the end I really like him. That’s some top notch character development. Ivy, the vampire, Jenks, the pixie and David, the were, also make this book wonderfully varied. There a romance scene in here too and it’s pretty steamy. The ending is explosive! There’s only one book left in The Hollows series. I’m both excited and sad about that. I think a bad case of book withdrawal is going to hit me soon.
The Undead Pool is another epic read in the paranormal world of Rachel Morgan!
The epic battle is here, Rachel vs the crazy demon Ku’Sox. She’s going to need more power and help than she ever imagined. As the ever after shrinks, and the demons give her a deadline, Rachel must rescue those she loves. Not all will survive…
What a story! Oh my God, that is insane. I was up until four in the morning reading because I had to find out what happened. Rachel being blamed for the ‘leak’ in the ever after. Demons want her dead, Trent needs her help when his kid and Ceri is kidnapped. Nick returns, the toad, and Jax. There is so much going on this book and it’s so perfectly balanced. I love the ending, it gives a bit more romance to the series and I cannot wait to read the next book. I am lucky enough to have a bonus story in the back of this book and after that there are only two more books. Two!
Ever After is a magical read in a fantastic series! A must read for paranormal lovers!
Trouble on Reserve is a free short story in the Hollows Series. It is in the back of the Ever After book. (But apparently it is written before Ever After?) It’s a short read, something like twenty pages. It’s not really a story just sort of a snippet of a scene. Rachel and Trent are attacked. They have to survive which happens very quickly. It does give readers a twist that I’m thinking will be a big deal in the next book.
Overall, I liked the story and I look forward to more from The Hollows!
Pride Slattery has lost a lot, not only a leg in the line of duty but also his reasons to go on living. Released from the military, he exists as an agent with Homeland Security and fills the rest of his time with booze, painkillers and a part-time gig as a security guard. Haunted by his experience in Iraq and affected by PTSD he's not making much progress on his case assignment until a chance meeting brings local radio host and songstress Sabetha Hill into his life. Just when he remembers what makes life worth living, it is nearly taken away again when his blown cover puts Sabetha in danger.
I like this story written in the hero's point of view. Slattery is far from perfect, and his listlessness and procrastination illustrates how easily we can disguise our real problems by masking them with other things or ignoring them altogether. At times he feels less than a whole man, having a prosthetic leg that slows him down. His relationship with Sabetha, who sees past his infirmity, allows his transformation back to the loving caring family man he truly is underneath his painful past. Overall the story is well written with a plausible plot however it adds a lot of unnecessary detail this reader could have done without, such as Slattery's triple-s morning routine (we all have it, no need to describe it!) and what feels like the author's playlist of favorite tunes and food recipes.
Slattery's Sin manages to balance a solid stock of romantic scenes along with great character development and a story that's going somewhere. A recommended read!
