Veruca works for the Prince of Hell and her boyfriend Finn is a necromancer. When Finn is kidnapped, Veruca has to track him down before some ladies take things too far. Who knew house wives would be looking to sacrifice him and that they’d be so dangerous?
This is the fourth book in the series and I did fell a little lost at times. The world building is scarce so I’m assuming that it’s explained in the other books. However, I really enjoyed this story. Veruca is a bad ass. I love Finn. He’s cocky and smooth and funny. Being tied naked to a tree by a bunch of women doesn’t really get his danger radar up. In fact, he gets a kick out of their ogling as he waits for Veruca to save him. It’s nice to finally have a woman saving the man. I am confused about the wrap up of the situation. They left the house wives just cut up in the field? That plot point is unexplored and feels unfinished. The use of ‘my love’ is repetitive too. Despite that I still found myself enjoying the story. This is an interesting snippet into the authors world.
