Asher is a police captain, both professional and dedicated. When he meets Daniel its an instant desire but can the rigid Asher really fall in love with such a free spirit?
Asher has me so on the edge right now. I both liked and hated him. There are those alpha moments that have me totally swooning but then he always goes to far. Now, Daniel, I love. He’s sexy and sweet and secretive. His character really kept me reading when Asher made me feel uncomfortable to continue. The sex itself is great, if a little dry. Maybe because there are a bunch of them in a row? I did really love that ending. I am happy to see them working things out and hopeful for their future.
Something in the Way He Needs is a highly recommend read for anyone who loves alpha’s!
Tanner runs a diner, is a virgin and is completely smitten with Steve. However, Steve is a broken man. He lost his partner recently and it’s crushed his soul. But when Tanner and Steve confront each other feelings, there may just be a happy ending waiting for them.
Reading this book is like sitting on the front porch in a small town with a warm breeze and a homemade lemonade. It was cozy and made me long to move to a town where everybody knows everybody. Like Hope, Arizona. Tanner is adorable, a hard worker and a sexy bundle of man. *insert inappropriate spank here* He’s way too young for me but I really enjoyed his character. Steve’s attempt at flirting are adorable, especially since Tanner was so clueless. Their romance is like a slow burning fire on a cold night. Everything’s heating up perfectly! There’s medical issues and emotional drama that really moves the story along. This is pretty much a contemporary story about finding love in a small town.
If you’re looking for super sweet and sexy, give Jesse’s Diner a read!
Richard is the sheriff of Hope, Arizona. He meets his friends brother Todd, who instantly attracts him. Richard thinks Todd is too young and immature for him so they break up. Unforeseen circumstances push them together and Richard must now figure out if he should give in or move on.
I love small town stories. They’re so sweet and beautiful. Todd is young and inexperienced. Richard takes over his life but then there’s a case of miscommunication and he’s out of Todd’s life. Todd is left dangling, unsure where to go from there. When he gets his second chance he’s determined not to screw it up. Todd is okay. I didn’t really love him, maybe because in my eyes, him sleeping with other guys while with Richard is cheating. I mean, I understand that there was a miscommunication but … anyway that’s how I feel. Plus, he has a bit of a doormat thing going on. Not so sexy. Richard gets points for dealing with that but he is no saint. I don’t like the way he looks down on Todd and treats him. As the story progresses, things do work themselves out and the characters do grow. By the end of the book I found myself unable to put the book down because I really want to read about their happy ending.
I love Cardeno C. books and although this isn’t my favorite, it’s still a really enjoyable read.

Salvatore is a vampire. Yoram is an alpha trying to save his pack. They’re mates but much stands between them before they can find their happy ending...
Salvatore meets his mate when he’s 7 ...…yes, that’s 7 years old. Um,…kind of gross but okay. He’s terminally ill and the only way to save him is to turn him into a vampire. This results in Salvatore becoming lonely and kind of self-absorbed. His character does grow throughout the story so don’t be too hung up on that. Once the two men accept each other there’s a lot of sexiness and it’s kind of a quick personality change. I like Yoram so much! He’s just trying to keep his pack together and get his mate to realize he loves him. It’s sweet. Other than the unbalanced pace this is a great shifter read! Toby is a sarcastic character that I really enjoyed.
If you love stories about mates falling for each other through hard times, I highly recommend To Touch You!
Kyle and Brent have serious attraction to each other but it all falls apart when Kyle learns Brent is a trust fund baby. When Kyle is stuck in a bad situation it’s Brent that saved him. Can their relationship be salvaged?
I really like Cardeno C’s book so I am very excited to read Rough Edges. This is a novella, really a short story that is in an anthology. That’s probably why I wish it was longer. Cardeno’s books are usually long and lets me really grip the world the author creates. Brent is sweet and I like him a lot. He is snarky and adorable. Kyle on the other hand, I want to slap him. He is so judgmental and downright nasty sometimes. I had a hard time liking him. They do develop a better relationship and there is some steamy sex. But again, they didn’t really come together because the story is so short. I have debated, a lot, about whether to give this book 3 or 4 stars. I’ve flopped between the two but at the end of the day, I really love Brent. Seriously, check out her longer books, they are amazing!
Rough Edges is a tasty, romantic snack.
Geeky gamer Oliver meets sexy successful Jaime and both their lives will never be the same.
I love this book! Love it! From the older Jaime to the number happy Oliver and the twists, there are also cute dogs. I like how the drama isn’t forced and it’s a light read. I’ve read a couple of heavy reads lately and this lightness is just what I need. All their reactions are faced like adults and it makes the characters feel real. There’s also some pretty good sex. Oliver isn’t exactly a novice but it’s damn close. I enjoyed reading their steamy moments.

Wesley is alpha born. He should be the next Alpha of his pack when his uncle steps down. But he’s different from the rest of his pack. He has a scar on his abdomen that makes him an abomination to his pack. He finally finds out he’ll never be the alpha when his uncle makes a deal to ‘trade’ him to the Red River pack as a mate to Jobe, part of the alpha family there. This makes Wesley feel like little more than a whore. Jobe’s pack is isolated; they stick closer to Mother Nature making Jobe more spiritual and in touch with the world around him (almost hippie like, and yes I’m showing my age). He is actually an alpha, but he doesn’t have a scent so most wolves don’t know it. Meanwhile Jobe has some explaining to do about his lies of omission or making assumption about what Wesley knows. Also he needs to explain about the reasons his pack is so different from others packs.
I love this author’s stories. I read the first in this series, loved it, so I am excited to read this one. While good, I feel there is too much of an effort to make this shifter world different from the other, numerous, stories out there. There are too many things about Jobe’s pack that Wesley’s and other packs didn’t know about. Things, traditions or information lost by the other packs over the years. Then there is the convenient way that the scar on Wesley’s belly is not really a scar and Jobe’s explanation of it. There’s lots of miscommunication in this story. I did love both characters, both so different from each other. I don’t want to say too much and give things away what isn't in the blurb.
I really enjoyed Red River and shifter fans are going to love this series!

Jared has been in love with his ex-wife’s half brother for years. Lucas is a disaster in life and getting kicked out of his rich family is sent to Jared for a roof over his head.
A few area’s were a bit dragging which is odd considering the length of this story. However, I loved how Lucas went from this annoying brat to a real man with emotions and responsibilities. The more I learned of Lucas the more I liked him. Jared was an instant like for me, scarred, shy and loveable. The romance was fabulous, sexy and so hot. I loved watching their story play out in the pages within the setting of the beautiful farm.
