Sexy shifters here I come!
Derrick posed for a calendar photo shoot where he was poisoned. Not only is he still feeling crappy but he’s got some PTSD from his experience. He meets short but adorable shifter Niall, his well-crafted plans are once again up in smoke. Will an unexpected part of his past break them apart?
Derrick is a bit shy (until he gets Niall on his back), blushes a lot and is dealing with trauma from the poisoning. Naill is adorable, short, leprechaun like (Derrick’s words) and fun. They meet randomly and instantly hit it off. Naill’s flirting ways gets him a date with Derrick and they rest as they say is history. Or rather is the whole plot for Mr. May. This is a cute romance with really likeable characters. The shifter park is really interesting. I like the imagery and building of it into the story. There some suspense in here that I really enjoyed. It gave some action and pace to the book.
If you like shifter story’s with hot sex and a bit of suspense then you should definitely read Mr May by Bailey Bradford!
Paolo is a lonely vampire. He’s watched a lot of his coven find their mates. He knows his mate is out there, he just needs to wait. But in the meantime, he’ll help protect Claude’s coven by doing a little spying on the Dark Slayers. The Dark Slayers are holding a recruiting initiation at the club. When Paolo sees new recruit, Dakota, he sees someone who doesn't look like he wants anything to do with the Slayers. Paolo decides to rescue the recruit, and if the recruit is the most attractive man he’s seen, it just makes his job easier.
This is book five in The Vamp for Me series. You do need to read these in order to establish the characters and the relationships between them. Bailey writes easy to read, fun, little stories, with great characters. Paolo is sexy, sassy and a little out there. Dakota is flat broke. He’s a little shy and down on his luck, with the worst big brother ever. As always, the secondary characters are just as fun and add much to the story. I love Jude, hoping he gets a story.
If you’re Bailey Bardford fan, this is a must read. If you haven't read this author yet, what are you waiting for?!
West’s life is falling apart. After his parents die, he’s taken over care of his much younger siblings. Doing this means he’s alone and lonely and still a virgin. He only wants to find out what he’s missing out on. However, he chose the wrong man or vampire as the case may be. Bitten and left for dead, he’s turned without his permission. Now he has to deal with being the one thing he hates. Alex is a sandboarder with problems of his own. His drugged out ex is making his life miserable, leaving him in the desert in a fit of rage. There he meets zombies and West.
West and Alex are both great characters. West has a maturity beyond his years but I loved how shy he is. It’s great watching Alex dealing with a druggie ex then learning the guy he’s interested in is a vampire. Oh and said guy is raising his siblings, who could make or break the romance between them. Then there is that whole virgin thing too. This story is sweet, fun with well written sex scenes. It shows the building of the relationship and the learning of trust between West and Alex. It’s a great addition to the series, an easy, fast and fun read.
Having spent ten years away from his mate to give him the chance to grow up before claiming him, Shaman Rolly comes home to find a very changed mate. He left the little boy Erdwin and came back to a grown Edie. Edie has had a lot to deal with in that ten year period. Erdwin always felt out of touch with the body she lived in. So she made the change to Edie. Doing so, she figured she’d never have a mate; she’d been too young when Rolly left to know. But she is happy within herself and coming to terms with the male body she inhabits and now she has a mate. Just as the two of them start to settle into their mating they have to protect their family and their pack from outside forces.
Bailey did a masterful job of portraying the transition Edie had made. The switch of the masculine pronoun to feminine was smooth and flawlessly done. She showed the emotions and feelings of the character Edie, allowing the reader maybe some insight into the world transgendered people live in and go through daily. The rest of the cast of characters is varied, but all add so much to the story. This is book 4 in the series and this is a series that needs to be read in order. There are carry over characters and conflicts in each book. If you are a fan of Bailey’s, like I am, this is a must read. And the sex is hot and maybe not what you would expect, but that’s all I’m going to say.
You need to read Heart by Bailey Bradford!
