Nicky and Noah are now an established couple. They live together and work together on the campus at Treemeadow College. This time around, well toned and pumped bodies are dropping dead on campus. Working as an instructor to help with the builders poses, Noah and Nicky are in the middle of the mystery again. As Nicky and Noah set off to solve this murder spree, things are complicated by a visit from Noah’s parents.
Once again I did enjoy this story. It is nice to see the relationship between Nicky and Noah grow. Joe does a great job keeping you guessing about the ‘whodunit' part. But I think the author makes the story a bit over the top, again. It has so much going on with all of the secondary characters. There is a listing of them at the front of the book and it’s over 20 characters long. The speech pattern of a couple of the students is ‘um, like, um, you know’ annoying. As with the first book, there are laugh out loud, completely funny sections. And enough of the mystery and suspense that keeps me reading, even past the annoying student dialogue.
This is an enjoyable story I would recommend. I look forward to the next story when it comes out.

Jimmy grew up on a farm and left for premed school. Now, he’s returned with a flamboyant boyfriend Oliver in tow. Eric is Jimmy’s best friend and straight. They are thrown together when Oliver cheats...
Before I even talk about the main characters, let’s start with the secondary and third and any character in here because they’re all amazingly well created. Scott, Jimmy’s parent’s, Eric’s parents, Eric brothers, even the town characters are fantastic! Then there’s Jimmy and Eric. One a cowboy, one a doctor, both so freaking fabulous that I can hardly describe them. Sexy. Sweet and their romance. Oh my God, it’s so perfect. They’re best friends and then kissing and...just perfect. The sex scenes are, well, perfect. Okay, I know I’m using that word a lot but I love this book so freaking much! Oliver role is admittedly anticlimactic. Nothing happens with him but still, I’m all tingly from this book. I’m going to recommend this book to every m/m reader I know and I’m on the hunt for more books by this author!
My Hometown is a must read cowboy romance!

Jonah terraforms planets with is friend and lover Wes who leaves him in the middle of the night and takes all his money. Now, he’s doesn’t have a coin to his name and he has planets to terraform. The payment being stolen by Wes. His new partner is Marcus and he sure as hell isn’t expecting the particulars of this job.
Another strange format from a Dreamspinner Press book. Instead of a space to show change in point of view, the characters name is placed above the change. I don’t know why they do that when I’ve never seen it at any other publisher. Anyway, format notwithstanding, this book is unique. I love this one of a kind idea about terraforming planets but using a gifted person to do it. Oh, and a blowjob. I love that twist, kinky. And insanely sexy!! However, I found Marcus over the top and inconsistent. I mean, the first blowjob, getting sick is plausible but sobbing and throwing up. Then a scene later, he’s kissing and massaging Jonas, and finds the taste of him addictive. It feels like the characters jumped personalities. There’s also all the miscommunication which once is understandable but in this book it just kept popping up. The concept for Planet Whisperer is really unique.

Lance is a photographer who has an amazing job for an erotic deck of cards. Problem is, he can’t find anyone to do the model. That is until Tide and his two friends show up.
Lance, oh, Lance. He is one of my favorite characters. He’s so nervous and clumsy and shy, it is freaking adorable! Tyrone, Bran and Tide are all extremely sexy. I love how the three interacted. And Tide practically chasing Lance is fabulous! However, the romance is quick, hot but insta-love. The story didn’t have much action. It was a lot of sex and pictures of sex and then more sex. After the fourth or was it fifth sex scene it lost its appeal.
New Boy is an interesting look at a shy photographer and the sexy dom that claims him.
Vapor is a cyborg in this intense, futuristic world. He’s been tortured, humiliated and serves humans as their warrior. Mira is the cyborg creator’s daughter also know as merciless. However, there’s more to her than what meets the eye.
I love how merciless Mira has a heart under all that coldness. It is heart-wrenching learning about her past and how she is trying to do the right thing. Vapor is all alpha and sexy cyborg. He is a great good guy with some serious battle skills. Their romance is too quick and having sex in a safe tunnel after a deadly attack didn’t make much sense. All the sex scenes are very hot but awkward placed. There is a lot of action and vivid descriptions of the world.
Breathing Vapor is a highly recommended read! I look forward to the next book.
The end of the Outlaw MC series by James Cox. I shall miss your sexy growls and half naked (usually completely naked) men. This story is Christmas themed and it's in Liam's point of view. Yes, our favorite Vice President of the club who was rescued, near death, in the last book.
I love this short and it is a short but it's oh so satisfying. I teared up hearing about Liam's suffering in that prison. Genuine tears because, damn it, I care for the characters. The author has an amazing way with his writing that brings characters to life. The sex scene, there is only one, but damn it's scorching! Three men, nothing but stars and a fire. So freaking sexy. The descriptions are vivid and did I mention I love this story. We get a glimpse of the other characters in the previous books and it tickled me to see them happy.
Join the Outlaw MC for a last holiday hurrah, this is a must read!

This is a collection of three of RJ Scott's stories set around Christmas. Each story is very different from the rest. But each story has its own emotional pull to it. The first two are stand alone. Number three, you need to read the first book, Deefur Dog to understand the relationship shown in Deefur and The Great Mistletoe Incident. As always, this author writes great characters, full of human fragility, flaws and failings.
Angel in a Bookshop:
After a meltdown and the loss of his father, Josh is back at the book shop his dad owned. Does he want to sell it or keep up with the family business? Michael has the shop next door. He’s the exact opposite of Josh, carefree and easy going. What is it about Josh that is different than the thousands of other humans he’s dealt with? Watching the relationship develop between the two is beautiful. Each has their own worries and fears. Josh with his health, his mom, the shop and what to do. Michael wonders if Josh is worth giving his immortality up for.
Jesse is still not over the betrayal of his ex boyfriend. Everything about Christmas is a reminder of the worst time of his life. He hates Christmas. It’s been two years, but he’s not over it. His agent sends him on an assignment to Eden Vale, a town he’s calling Christmasville. There he meets Gabriel, who still believes in the magic of the season. Can Gabriel help Jesse stop hurting and find the magic in the season? The author wrote Jesse so you feel his pain. You want him to find happiness in life again, to find the passion that fueled his art and photography. Gabriel is a gentle soul, happy with who he is and his place in life even if he is a bit lonely. I love the journey as Jesse and Gabriel find each other. And when Jesse finds meaning in Christmas again.
Deefur and The Great Mistletoe Incident:
Deefur is a Great Dane; his family consists of Cameron, who lost his first husband at Christmas time. There is Emma, who is Cameron’s daughter. And Jason, the new love in Cameron’s life. But Christmas is back and for Cameron, with it all of the old memories and fears. When Jason goes overboard with Christmas decorating, Deefur eats mistletoe. This causes tempers flair, and anxiety to rise along with fears that show in both Jason and Cameron. All of these characters and the dynamics of the relationships are found in the first story. You need to read it. I love this story! I love having another glimpse at Cameron and Jason’s relationship.
RJ Scott's Christmas Collection is a must read for the holidays!
EB Scrudge owns a wealthy insurance company. He’s angry at the employees that talk behind his back and doesn’t mind firing them even though it is Christmas Eve. Willie Simpson is his person secretary who has a mother with dementia and a crush on his grumpy boss. Oh, and they’re having sex in the office. And then, as the old tale goes Scrudge gets visitors...
Are you getting the similarities yet? I think they’re adorable and unique. There are so many moments in this book when I literally laughed aloud. Strange looks be damned, it is funny! And then there’s the scene with Scrudge’s family that had me all teary eyed and angry. This book is positively fabulous! A must read for Christmas!
Title: Who Knows the Dark
Series: Vigilante #2 - NOT a standalone
Author: Tere Michaels
Genre: Gay, Futuristic,
TBR Reviewer: Bella Star
Rating: 3 stars - A Good Read
Heat: 2/5 - Flirty
This is the continuation of Who Knows the Storm which is a fabulous read about storms that devastate the coast. A man survives under extreme circumstances and becomes a vigilante.
I am so excited to read this book since I loved the first one so much. However, this is not what I expected. Apparently, the ‘interlude’ is supposed to be a flashback. I don’t know why the author didn’t just italicize it like every other book I’ve read. Also, the flashbacks are very telling versus showing. I feel like someone is reading them rather than in that characters point of view. This book has the same characters from the previous book but certainly not the same action. It isn’t until about fifty pages in before something that isn’t thinking or talking happens. This book is very slow moving. There are some classic Cade moments that are always entertaining and the sexy, growling, alpha Nox. The Sam and Mason romance is sweet. Even Rachel, former assassin, really grows in this book. The twist isn’t really a twist. Based on the information given it is pretty obvious about the ‘big’ reveal. And the ending is not really an ending. The book stops before the ending so it’s kind of like the ending is almost cut off.
Overall, Who Knows The Dark is an okay read. The first book in this series is amazing. I may read the third if the author writes one.
Damion wants off mars where he was born and grew up. 47 is the Core Machine/man that picks Damion as his partner after killing his last three...
First off, it was odd when the point of view changed with the names above it. Why? That was so strange that it makes me think it may be an editing or format mistake, therefore I’m not taking any stars off for it.
Damion is a fantastic character. I learned about this world along with him and found it intoxicating. 47 is also a great character. He’s more technical, cold at the beginning, which fit the persona of a machine/man perfectly. I love how he grows as the story progresses. Even the secondary characters like Juni feel real. The action is intense and entertaining. Who doesn’t love a spaceship fight?! The world this author creates is huge and very detailed. It is fun falling into it and being swept up. It is on the heavy side of science fiction but bear with it because the story is so worth the read. The romance is slow going but not in a bad way. It’s a slow burn that turns into a roaring fire. Sexy, sweet and perfect!
This was absolutely 5 stars until I got to the ending. To be continued! In the middle of a huge space fight, bombs about to go off, insane twists and to be continued. I am not very happy with that. I wish there was a warning in big flashing red letters. However, this book is a must read!
