Somehow after dropping out of college, Cora’s life has become one part Dresden Files, one part Buffy. She tumbles into the supernatural underbelly of Fairview as a PI’s freshly minted assistant. Will she manage to tame the not-so-vampiric lover who has her on his radar?
Valerian enjoys his life eating the greed of humanity. When he stumbles into Cora, he happens to find her quite the delectable morsel. There are annoying creatures to overcome before Valerian can have his way with her. But nothing will keep him from making Cora his.
Rosie is a blue-haired, buxom, multi-tattooed, and in-your-face kind of gal who dreams of becoming a tattoo artist, while working at a server at the Bangers Tavern. She lets herself be enticed by the mistletoe hung in the tavern, stealing a few kisses from barback Eddie, that culminates in them dancing long after everyone else has gone home on New Year's Eve before they head for Eddie's place. Eddie is soft-spoken and always getting underestimated. He's been in love with Rosie from the first time he saw her. So the night of passion is a dream come true for him. But in the morning when his grandmother walks into his place (which is over his parents' garage) and brings him some pastries, he begs Rosie to pretend to be his girlfriend, since otherwise his family will flip out thinking he's disrespecting her with a one-nighter.
She's unprepared for how quickly she comes to enjoy being Eddie's girl and how much she enjoys his family too. Once her feelings get involved, she has to decide if it's worth risking the pain. Eddie has already decided he can't let her go. But circumstances interfere and you have to root for them to find a way to make things work. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. And FYI, it didn't matter that I haven't read the first book. At times I laughed then I got turned on by their steamy interludes and I felt for them when things didn't seem to be working out. Isn't that the quintessential essence of a good romance? Yes it is! And this is a great read!

In a lovely small town, a recovering vet goes for a job and find the woman of his dreams. Too bad that woman is trying to set him up with her sister. As the Café begins to take shape, he become even more determined to show Kari that she’s the one he loves.
Awwwww. Okay, I know, you need more than that for the review. Awwww, fits this story perfectly. It’s sweet and feel good with wonderful characters. I love solider stories and Colin is a recovering vet. He has scars mentally and physical from his previous career. Now, he’s baking and meets Kari. She’s too busy with her new cat café to deal with a possible boyfriend. I love that Kari is trying to set Colin up with her sister. Meanwhile, Colin only has eyes for her. It’s a cute twist. I love cats and kittens and all furry critters. There are such sweet ones and naughty ones in this book. That combined with the romance really made me fall in love with this story. There is also a recipe at the end which is a cute surprise.
Coffee and Crushes at Cat Café is such a sweet must read!
Mallory is right in the middle of a murder investigation and she’s determined to find the killer. It puts her and her family in the middle of danger but it also gets her closer to her former crush Alex. Honeysuckled Grove is in a lot of trouble but who will solve the mystery?
This was a cozy mystery that reminded me very much of Murder She Wrote. Mallory was an interesting character. She has a lot of backbone and determination. She works with Alex, her daughter and several other to find the truth. The police think its suicide but so many people are holding back the truth that she knows there was more to this story. The mystery was interesting and fun but a little slow moving. I wish there was more action or something to really keep me on the edge of my seat. The ending was satisfying in terms of the mystery. The potential for romance and a relationship was hinted at. Overall, this was a cute mystery that would be great for a plane ride or the beach. There's also a recipe in there!
Murder at The Town Hall is a fun cozy mystery!
