In a futuristic world, the citizens of Domid enjoy every privilege and pleasure. Domidian socialite and event organizer extraordinaire Tellan is therefore completely and blissfully inexperienced when it comes to space travel and the reality of non-Domidian worlds. Nevertheless, to help his ailing sister, Tellan plots what he thinks is a grand adventure in the pursuit of Essent Water, an elixir fabled to cure all disease. Problem one - Essent Water is only found on the deserted and remote planet Ompso, located in the Empty Quadrant. Problem two - He needs help to get it, and Tellan is hopelessly attracted to his hastily-hired guide and bodyguard Jorant. Exiled and in hiding from his homeworld of Atavaq, Jorant is an unlikely choice for a lover -- especially when Tellan is not even certain the huge and strong warrior's race engages in nor even allows same-sex liaisons. As it turns out, the cold reaches of the Empty Quadrant can harbor a surprising heat!
I like science fiction. I don't typically like gay romances. Essent Quest rather snuck up on me in that regard. I did not even realize the story was about to embark on an outer space M/M voyage until I was already in the thick of it, and in a way, neither did the characters! The story is so well told, the reader is almost caught unaware when these two very different, yet compatible, heroes get together. By that time, I did not care and completely enjoyed the touching, gentle and sweet encounters that Tellan and Jorant experience on their journey through space. The plot is simple but compelling, and as a sci-fi fan I applauded the author's use of inventive technical jargon. In addition, the dialogue is straightforward yet evocative.
Alas, even in the far-flung future, there are still barriers to "mixed-race" couples. When Tellan and Jorant return to Domid, their romance is threatened by forces beyond their control, and face a sad and sudden parting. Can two partners who are literally worlds apart ever find a happily ever after?
Your quest: read Essent Quest and find out! Highly recommended!
We’re on Mars for the next fabulous installment of Outlaw MC. Knox, president of the club has been secretly in love with his best friend and vice president of the club for years. However, he’s been hiding it because of the war with the government. When Liam is hurt, Knox realizes that sometimes you have to face your fear to find happiness.
James Cox blew me away with this book. I liked the first book in this series but I loved this one. Biker romance has become a favorite genre of mine and this author takes a new approach. Bikers are the good guys, the government are the bad guys. Black men are slaves. Women are used for breeding and homosexuality is a death sentence. Knox was a wonderfully rich character and Liam was a determined sexy man. I love how their friendship unfolds with flashbacks. They really added to the depth of the story. I can’t believe how short this book was and yet so much was packed so perfectly into the pages.
James Cox has a truly unique biker series. Take a chance and go to mars with Cox’s sexy, badass characters!

Ned is visiting a favorite BDSM club known as the Hampton Road Club in order to determine if he wishes to become a permanent member now that some new policies are in place. He also wishes to check on a submissive he introduced to the club at one point. What Ned finds is more than he bargained for. He meets Evan, a spirited if somewhat top from the bottom submissive that has been discarded by his previous Master for a young virginal submissive. Evan is in a predicament of his own, as he cannot return to the Master he had before that as he has also found a new submissive that he is committed to. Evan meets Ned and is dominated by him in one intense evening that ultimately leads to his heart-break as Ned doesn’t believe Evan is the one for him to settle down with initially because he is not a virgin. Will Ned come to his senses? If so will it be too late to win Evan as his permanent submissive?
I received an ARC of this novel for an honest review. I really enjoyed this novel! I have not read the first 3 books of the series but really enjoyed the supportive characters and was able to read this as a standalone and grasp the connections to previous stories. The writing was wonderful and I liked the original take on a historical 1920’s perspective especially for a M/M BDSM story. The use of terminology and brands familiar to that time was well done, there were no gaps or confusing pieces of the story, and I felt connected to the main and supporting characters. The empathy that everyone had for the submissives and their treatment was a palpable thing, which I also found refreshing. They were not objectified and instead were very well cared for. This is something that often is missing. The sex was exciting, well written, and not clichéd. If you are looking for an entertaining and engaging M/M BDSM book I would highly suggest this author!
Jonah is an agent for Spectrum. Silas is his handler, just a voice in his ear that Jonah fantasies about. Then Jonah is almost killed by the very group of the government he works for. Now Jonah needs Silas' help to survive. The two men finally meet and release all their pent up passion. But will they be able to stay together in the resulting chaos?
The beginning was very rushed but then some parts were extremely slow moving. The pace continued to waver throughout the book and was the only reason this book missed the 5 star mark. Several months pass in the blink of an eye. Then a scene and a week passes then another month. You get the picture. Pace was definitely off. So that was the bad but there was ALOT of good. Jonah and Silas were fantastic, well developed characters. I love how dominant Silas was even though he was only a voice in Jonah’s ear. The sex was really freaking good. Could have used more details but I’m greedy. Then comes the plot, the twists which were also fabulous! Secret agent being hunted. Good guys that aren’t so good. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
Grayscale is a rush of action and romance.

Straight Joe meets sexy, gay firefight Dallas and these two are faced with a smoldering attraction amid the heroics of being a firefighter.
Firefighters are so freaking sexy. I love them. I love books about them. The plot was really good. It was perfectly balanced between action and romance and Joe’s family plus Dallas’ ex. All entertaining. My only complaint is actually a pretty big one. Joe’s personality. He had a lot of overly feminine moment’s. He could have definitely passed for a women. The story read as if the author had this character as a female and then switched it to male. That’s what it read like. Oh and does everything with Joe have to be pretty? Or so many ‘dude’s’?
I loved the plot. I liked the writing. I didn’t like the m/m aspect of this story. I’d read a m/f from this author but probably not another m/m.
Fletched and Shawn are straight best friends who escaped their boring Iowa town but they’re out of money and down on their luck. They go to a bar to spend their last $40 on beer, typical male plan, lol. And to their surprise they meet a generous German man who offers them a stack of cash and a proposition.
I am slowly falling in love with Lilith Duvalier. This is the second book I’ve read by her that I totally and completely enjoyed. Almost 5 stars. The flashbacks in here should have been in italics (I was seriously confused at first.) They took away from the story rather than further it along. I think it would have been a tighter plot without them. Anyway that was the ONLY bad. The rest was FANTASTIC! Straight, best friends and their first time together. Not only being filmed for money but filmed by a stranger. Can you say kinky? Loved it! This author really knows how to write sexual tension. There’s only one sex scene in the book and it was so freaking hot. Sweet lord, I need an ice bath after that. Fletcher and Shawn were great characters, well developed, sweet and sexy. I stayed up until 3 am reading and nibbling on my bottom lip so much it’s almost swollen. Yeah, the sex was THAT good.
If you like m/m romance go no further than Lilith Duvalier.

Jesse and Alex are boyfriends trying to have a quiet vacation away from the spotlight. Alex own a big company and Jesse was his bodyguard.
They check into a bed and breakfast. Have sex and meet a mixed group of folks. Then they are swiftly hiking in the woods and running from a sniper? It was just so jumpy and rushed. When did they get shot at? What did they do? And just when it starts to get good again, the guys escape the sniper and go back to the inn for...food. Just like that? The plot definitely needed work. What I did enjoy and the reason for 3 stars was the characters. They had full personalities and felt real despite the plot. The sex was okay. The scenes were stilted and didn’t flow right with lots of reputation. I know that sounds like a daunting, do not read recommendation but I really liked the characters. If you can find this book on sale I say give it a go.

NOTE: Read the first book first! Really, you will be lost otherwise.
Aaron and Jordan Collins have a real problem now that Jordan, an Army Captain, has escaped an Afghani prison and flown home on a smuggler's plane. They must explain to the US Government why Jordan came home outside of official channels and find the traitor that not only ordered Jordan's execution in Afghanistan but told everyone that he was dead and finding the evidence to prove it is much more difficult.
The two books in the series are really one story with the second one picking up at the same scene which the first ended. Their teamwork was fantastic, as was the way Aaron's support meant so much to Jordan's mental health and healing. The whole story was enjoyable and the villains were truly despicable characters. Even the secondary characters jumped off the page at times. These are definitely a worthwhile read, with my only complaint being that I could have liked a little more fleshing out of Troy's thinking/motives and whether the whole situation was a set-up to free Aaron from his marriage or just a side-effect. I also did not feel like the reasoning behind Jalalabad's detention was understood, either, but perhaps that just made the book more like real-life, where not all questions are answered satisfactorily.
I enjoyed reading another Liz Borino book in the Angel's Series!

Shifters in space!
I want to spend a day in James Coxs’ brain. Okay, that sounds creepy but what an imagination he has. This book is the second in his Handsome Heroes Series but can be read as a stand alone. Layden is part wolf, a tough guy that doesn't take shit from anyone...until he meets Lavender. This is the story of two fantastic men, one wolf, one feline who are trying to find their happily ever after.
What they find were lots of lying but the lies were almost the same! Which I thought was cute. Then there’s the escape plans these two come up with...hysterical and entertaining. There was more of a plot in this book than the first book which I really liked. The author seems to keep improving his skills. And of course the sex. Really?! Awesome! There are also naked cameos from characters in the first book. The end is a slight cliff hanger, not a big one. Oh, and the one liners! I for one can’t wait to read the next book in this wacky, wicked series!
Handsome, Hard and Delicious is a wild ride with sexy aliens that shouldn't be missed!

This story is part of the Evernight publishing Romance on the Go series. Xavier is a bobcat shifter brought up in a wolf pack, virginal, and lusting after the future alpha. Arsen is cocky, engaged in an arranged relationship with a female wolf from another pack, and one night decides to act on his own interest in Xav. Of course, the first time they kiss they both realize that they are mates, and what follows is a lot of rough sex between two dominant male animals interspersed with some interference by the erstwhile fiancee.
The characters do not have a lot of space to develop, and even though the author tried to show how Xav was submissive to Arsen somewhat, I really did not see it. For a quick, sexy paranormal read, this does fit the bill. However, do not expect to walk away from the read dying to know more about them or hoping for a longer story. There just is not enough there to be invested in.
