Castill is not only the owner of the club, he is also a lion shifter and the moment he meets Tatum, he knows that she is his mate. Suddenly, he is trying to woo his reluctant mate and keep her safe from his arch-enemy, all without revealing his secret too soon.
The book had a fun setting, with the Las Vegas strip as a non-human character. The two lion shifters with their territorial conflicts were a similar contrast - one seedy and evil, while the other willing to get his hands dirty only if necessary but a good guy the rest of the time. Poor Tatum got caught in a fight that had nothing to do with her, yet which allowed her character to shine. I liked the overall story and Kiki and Beau were great secondary characters.
